What affects the price of a social media manager
- How many networks. Running just Instagram doesn't cost the same as running three networks at once.
- How many posts a month. More posts and stories mean more hours of work.
- Whether there's video or reels. Filming, scripting and editing take longer than a photo.
- Whether comments and messages are answered, and how often.
- Whether paid advertising is included. Not in our plans: they cover organic management of your social media.
Freelancer, agency or do it yourself?
- Doing it yourself. You don't pay anyone, but it eats up hours every week and it's easy to let it slide when the business gets busy.
- A freelancer. You deal directly with one person. It's worth asking what happens during holidays or if they're ill, and exactly what's included.
- An agency. There are usually more people and more services, such as advertising or design. Ask for the total price and whether there's a minimum term.
